I totally forgot where I was up to…..

I can’t remember what bits of knitting I’ve posted on here and in all honesty I’m not in the mood to go looking 😛 I will just post the photos I have so I’m sorry if you have seen them before haha!!

Sherbert booties!

I made the booties above for a friend of mine to give to her Niece as a present!! the one on the right is before you sew it up not a giant bootie 😛 I used the self striping wool which is why the two booties are slightly different colours!! I really like knitting booties…..no idea why!!

John Impman 😛

This little guy took me a while to do! He was a present for my friends mum’s birthday and I am soooo pleased with how he has turned out! This is the first proper toy I have managed to finish!! It’s from an Alan Dart pattern and was very easy to follow!! I love Alan dart, he does the best toy patterns!! I’ve already downloaded a couple more! They cost about £2.50 depending how big they are! He sometimes puts free ones up too!!

Twinkie Chan Notebook

On a completely different note, here is the notebook I ordered from Twinkie Chan 😀 I always try to buy a little something when she updates her Etsy shop!!

I don’t have much news! I’m working on some things I can’t show you just yet but I can’t wait until I can :-p Just trying to get through the next few weeks….then I’m off on holiday OH YES!!

Hope you are all doing well!!

Bunnies and toadstools!

Hello everyone!

So today I’m just stopping by to share the one and only photo I have of my prototype bunny! He still doesn’t have eyes and his arms aren’t attached…..man it has taken forever FOREVER to do! Not helped by the fact I have two other things to knit and a real life job too 😛 Anyway here he is…..

Prototype bunny!

He isn’t looking too bad! I’ve just realised that it would have been cool to get him done before easter!! Oh well! Knitting soft toys is incredibly time-consuming :-S I really wanted to do it more but I’m just not sure I can!!

I’ve also been working on some new things for the shop! I’ve finished a really cute toadstool brooch that I’m really hoping grabs someone’s attention and sells.  That would make my day!!

Toadstool Brooch!

Please ignore my hand on this, I think I need to moisturise or something 😛 Anyway what do you guys think? I think the red bit should have been a bit bigger but it’s not too bad for a first try is it?? I’m selling it for £5 so if you fancy it please feel free to send me a message 🙂

Other than those two little projects I have been working on socks for Teddy Bears! I couldn’t for the life of me find a pattern for bear socks so I had to wing it 😛 The bears also seemed to have VERY big feet bless them!

Bear Socks!

I am waiting to find out if they fit…….I really really hope they do!! I’m also still working on the multi coloured baby blanket which I must get finished soon! Then I have to finish coats for the bears too!! My poor fingers will end up in a claw like shape soon 😛

I’m feeling a little meh at the moment! That is the only way I can really describe it.  I’m not unhappy but there is something that just doesn’t feel quite right……do any of you have this problem??

Oh well i hope you have all had a lovely Easter 🙂 Take Care!!

A tale of two hats!

So I have been commissioned to knit two little hats! Not just any old hats though, hats for Teddy Bears 😀 So cute!! I was originally going to do a santa style hat but then I found some very cute patterns that I really wanted to try so I asked if this would be ok and the answer was yes!!

The first hat is a normal little bobble style hat (except it doesn’t have a bobble on it at the moment!!) and the second one is an ear flap hat! I’m not sure if they have a special name…..kind of like hunters hats maybe??

What do you think of my models? I couldn’t find anything quickly so meet Cactuar (of Final Fantasy fame) and Totoro!! I think they look quite cute!! I really hope these hats are ok! I’ve already made jumpers for these Teddy Bears and next on my list are little coat type things 😀 Best dressed Teddies ever 😀

I’m also working on a baby blanket for a friend of mine!! She doesn’t know if it’s a boy or a girl as the baby had its legs crossed at the scan so I didn’t want a colour that swung too much either way!! I also didn’t want anything too safe or neutral as that really wouldn’t be my friends thing……she once had leopard print hair!!

Ta-dah!! Look at this bad boy!! I LOVE this and I know my friend will too 😀 I can’t wait to see what it looks like when I’m done!!

Anyway hope you have all had a lovely week so far!!!

Wallpaper woes!

Hi everyone!!

So it has definitely been one of those weeks this week! I won’t go into details but I’ll be glad to get it over with, lets just put it that way!! I have, however, been quite productive which is nice.  I managed to finish an owl brooch and two phone/Ipod covers but I’ve only managed to photograph one.

Blue bow phone/Ipod cover!

As you can see, my awful photography skills strike again! I attempted to change the White Balance on my camera but it has so many dials and buttons I have no idea if I actually managed it! I deffo think I need to find a tutorial or something :-S Anyway I haven’t listed this bad boy yet but hopefully I’ll get around to that later!! I am also very close to finishing a toadstool brooch which I am pretty pleased with so far 😀

I moved in to a new house in September and we decided that now is the right time to start a little redecorating! The house is fine as it is but I want to mak it a little more me……..or should I say us 😛 Me and my boyfriend have very VERY different tastes in decor so I wasn’t expecting it to be easy but to be honest it’s gone well! We’ve decided on purple/plum for the living room and have narrowed it down to two wallpapers we like……

Close up of wallpaper one.

Close up of wallpaper two.

I’m quite partial to the first one but what do you guys think? I’ve put the pictures on Facebook too and it seems to be quite even with the flower one ahead by maybe a little bit!

Side by side.

I don’t think the colours show up very well on here (my AMAZING photography skills again!!) but the colours are so rich! We are only doing the chimney breast in it as a sort of feature wall!! I’m so excited 🙂

In other news I’m thinking of starting a new Blog……don’t worry I won’t be getting rid of this one 😛 I’m hoping to get more arty and creative. I know you can’t force that sort of thing but a good friend of mine has stated that she would like to be creative for at least 10 mins a day (Yes Carmen I’m talking about you!)! It’s actually not as easy as it sounds 😛 Anyway my new Blog will hopefully be about my arty adventures…..get ready for a horror show people as I have many disasters when I pick up pencil’s paint or anything else like that 😛

And I’m going to end with some self promotion……….visit my Etsy store Snowbunnysknits for all your cute knitty needs 🙂

Knitting a sweater is fun to do!

Hey everyone 🙂

So as some of you may know I’ve started knitting myself a sweater from a book I received as a Christmas present!! It seems to be going pretty well at the moment which is always nice 😛

It's getting looooong!

This is the whole length including the rib at the bottom! It’s actually longer than I thought it was going to be so god knows if it will fit haha! It could end up as a dress haha!!

Shaping the arm hole!

I’ve even managed to start shaping the arm holes…..I always find this is the hard bit!! Anything that needs shaping I usually shape wrong!! All in all it seems to be successful!! I’m not a very disciplined knitter as I just want it to be finished as soon as possible 😛

In other news I’ve started some new media covers which I’m  really pleased with!! I’m hoping to get them finished soon! It’s always the photo taking bit that gets me though! I have to wait for a really sunny day…..and even then my photos always seem to look dark! I’m not sure where I’m going wrong :-S

Media cover!

Here is a sneak peek at the first one 😉 I will be listing it in SnowBunnysKnits as soon as I can!! Go check it out and let me know what you think!!
