I totally forgot where I was up to…..

I can’t remember what bits of knitting I’ve posted on here and in all honesty I’m not in the mood to go looking 😛 I will just post the photos I have so I’m sorry if you have seen them before haha!!

Sherbert booties!

I made the booties above for a friend of mine to give to her Niece as a present!! the one on the right is before you sew it up not a giant bootie 😛 I used the self striping wool which is why the two booties are slightly different colours!! I really like knitting booties…..no idea why!!

John Impman 😛

This little guy took me a while to do! He was a present for my friends mum’s birthday and I am soooo pleased with how he has turned out! This is the first proper toy I have managed to finish!! It’s from an Alan Dart pattern and was very easy to follow!! I love Alan dart, he does the best toy patterns!! I’ve already downloaded a couple more! They cost about £2.50 depending how big they are! He sometimes puts free ones up too!!

Twinkie Chan Notebook

On a completely different note, here is the notebook I ordered from Twinkie Chan 😀 I always try to buy a little something when she updates her Etsy shop!!

I don’t have much news! I’m working on some things I can’t show you just yet but I can’t wait until I can :-p Just trying to get through the next few weeks….then I’m off on holiday OH YES!!

Hope you are all doing well!!

A very well dressed bear!

I keep promising to Blog more often and then life keeps getting in the way 😛 Thank you to all of you who have stuck around, I really do appreciate it!!

This is another fairly short post to update you on the progress of the bear jackets/cardies I’ve been working on! I’m not too sure if they are boy or girl teddys so I don’t want to commit to a cardie or a jacket 😛 So basically both jackets/cardies are finished and just need to be sewn together! This is the part I hate more than anything so I always put it off until I can’t put it off any longer!! But they will definitely be posted by the end of this week YAY.

This isn’t the teddy that the jacket will end up on, he is my very own teddy bear 😛 As you can see it isn’t stitched together but you get the general idea!! I think it’s quite cute!!

Here is the back view! The pattern looked like it was going to be a right pain but it turned out to be quite easy so I was very pleased about that! The pattern can be adapted to make bigger sizes and is actually a pattern for new-born babies!!  The second cardigan is green with a white trim! It was supposed to be all in green but I ran out just as I was about to do the trim so I had to improvise a bit!!

I will get some photos of the complete finished articles as soon as I can! The weather has been glorious here so that helps with the photo taking haha!! My nest project is baby booties for a friends new-born niece! They are going very well and are so cute!!

So that’s it for now, I hope you have all had a fabulous weekend!!

I’ve gone Sugar Skull crazy!!

Once again my Friends this post will be fairly short!! I haven’t had much chance to craft recently but I do have a new project on the go!! It’s a practical project too which is always good!! 😛

I don’t know about all you lovely ladies out there, but I have a horrible time trying to store my necklaces!! If I have them in a jewellery box they seem to get tangled and broken 😦 I don’t know if this just happens to me but it happens all the time! So I thought to myself, how else can I store them?? The solution I have come up with is to hang them on a cork board and hang the cork board up on the wall……well it’s worth a try!!

I’ve had this cork board for a while but I couldn’t think for the life of me how to decorate it! I didn’t want it to just stay like that, that is just not me at all! In the end I decided to at least paint it white as this would make a good base coat!! Inspiration finally came the other day! Why not paint a Sugar skull design on to the cork board?? 😀 GENIUS!!

So that is my plan! I have no clue if this will even work but it’s worth a try! It looks good in my head, but most of my ideas look good in my head….most end up unfinished or going completely wrong :-p

In other news, I’ve almost finished the baby blanket YAY!! I have redesigned it slightly and I’m really pleased with the result! I will take pictures as soon as I can!!

I hope you are all doing well 🙂 Take Care!!

Bunnies and toadstools!

Hello everyone!

So today I’m just stopping by to share the one and only photo I have of my prototype bunny! He still doesn’t have eyes and his arms aren’t attached…..man it has taken forever FOREVER to do! Not helped by the fact I have two other things to knit and a real life job too 😛 Anyway here he is…..

Prototype bunny!

He isn’t looking too bad! I’ve just realised that it would have been cool to get him done before easter!! Oh well! Knitting soft toys is incredibly time-consuming :-S I really wanted to do it more but I’m just not sure I can!!

I’ve also been working on some new things for the shop! I’ve finished a really cute toadstool brooch that I’m really hoping grabs someone’s attention and sells.  That would make my day!!

Toadstool Brooch!

Please ignore my hand on this, I think I need to moisturise or something 😛 Anyway what do you guys think? I think the red bit should have been a bit bigger but it’s not too bad for a first try is it?? I’m selling it for £5 so if you fancy it please feel free to send me a message 🙂

Other than those two little projects I have been working on socks for Teddy Bears! I couldn’t for the life of me find a pattern for bear socks so I had to wing it 😛 The bears also seemed to have VERY big feet bless them!

Bear Socks!

I am waiting to find out if they fit…….I really really hope they do!! I’m also still working on the multi coloured baby blanket which I must get finished soon! Then I have to finish coats for the bears too!! My poor fingers will end up in a claw like shape soon 😛

I’m feeling a little meh at the moment! That is the only way I can really describe it.  I’m not unhappy but there is something that just doesn’t feel quite right……do any of you have this problem??

Oh well i hope you have all had a lovely Easter 🙂 Take Care!!

Knitting, painting, drawing, planting, cross stitching……..

Hello everyone 🙂

This may be the shortest post in the history of my posts 😛 I’ve been swamped in work and trying to fit in my millions of knitting projects (ok 3!) whilst also trying to draw and paint more, finish my lovely cross stitch and also sort out our backyard so we have a nice space for the summer!!

The knitting projects are going ok but slower than I had planned!! I’ve been trying to knit a bunny (photos to follow in the next post), I thought it would only take me a couple of days but I’ve still got its arms and ears to do……and don’t even start me on the face!! I have a baby blanket to complete but I still have a couple of months to do that so pphheeewwww!! Then my cousins boys are after clothes for their Teddy Bears! I’ve still got a cardigan to do……it took me ages to find one that would (hopefully) fit!!

The planting will be fun when we get going! So far we have bought Gladioli, lilies, red-hot pokers, dahlias and some other pretty flowers 🙂 Oh and I have some potatoes to put in the potato grow bag my mum got me!! My faves are the red-hot pokers.

Aren’t they lovely? I can#t wait until they grow!!I will be taking lots of photos of their progress 😀

So there we go! Take care and have a lovely week!!
